Sometimes, we make the mistake of overcharging or undercharging our customers, and when we realise our mistake, the customer has already left the shop.
With Adjust Charges, you can now edit the charge to reflect the correct amount, all within the Oddle Terminal app, without the customer being present.
⚠️ Adjust charges is only available for Visa and Mastercards.
⚠️ Adjust charges can only be done if the batch is still open. If the batch is closed and paid out, please approach our team for help.
⚠️ You can only make changes to your charges and tips up to 9 times.
Adjusting a transaction
There are 2 ways to adjust a transaction:
You can adjust the charge by clicking on the "Edit Charge" button at the top right corner of the payment confirmation screen.
Alternatively, you can also navigate to the Transaction Page and click on "Edit Charge" below the Sales Summary section.
If the card does not support the function to adjust charges, the "Edit Charge" button will be disabled.
After clicking on "Edit Charge", enter the new charge amount and click "Confirm Charge". The edited amount can be either higher or lower than the initial charge amount.
Once the charge has been updated, you will see a confirmation screen like the one below:
Password protection
As adjusting a charge is a sensitive action, you can add a passcode to limit access to this action. You can configure this in the "Security" section on the Settings Page.
