1. About the Integration

Elevate your restaurant's online presence effortlessly by syncing your Oddle products with your Google Listing. Our Google integration extends to both your Oddle Shop and Oddle Reserve, empowering you to enhance visibility and elevate the customer experience.

At present, we offer Reserve with Google integration.

  • Allow customers to reserve a table directly through Google, enhancing convenience for both you and your patrons.

  • Automatically link your Online Ordering link and/or Reservation link to your Google listing for greater visibility and convenience.

Your Online Ordering and/or Reserve link can be automatically linked to your Google listing.

This integration allows your customers to effortlessly access your business, streamlining their experience.


3. About Reserve with Google

“Reserve with Google” is a Product from Google that helps diners book a table at their favourite restaurant with just a few taps from some of Google's channels, such as:

  • Google Search

  • Google Maps

  • Google Assistant

This system allows diners from Google Search, Google Maps, or Google Assistant to book a table easily and send their reservation details to the Oddle Host App which can be easily managed by the restaurant.


3a. Getting Started Checklist

Before you begin, ensure that you have completed the following tasks:

  1. Ensure that your outlet is listed on Google Maps by doing these simple steps:

    1. Search for your outlet name and address

    2. Your outlet should appear like this:

      Reserve with Google Prerequisite


    If you find that your outlet is listed, you are one step closer to enabling "Reserve with Google". If you could not find your outlet, please follow Google's guide here.

  2. Check that you have given the correct Google Maps address of your outlet to your Oddle Representative. This will ensure that your outlet address can be matched with Google's data to enable "Reserve with Google".

  3. Set your Service Schedule with Ticket (Non-Payment) on your Oddle Host App.


3b. How to Enable Your Oddle Reserve with Google

To allow Google to receive reservations from diners, you will need to turn on the Google Channel in each of your Reservation Tickets. Please follow these easy steps to turn on "Reserve with Google" in your Ticket Setting:

  1. In the Oddle Reserve Host V3 app, navigate to Settings > Tickets and click on + Add Ticket button

  2. Select the ticket colour and upload a cover image for your ticket by clicking on browse

  3. Fill up the ticket name (required) and ticket description

  4. Toggle the Bookable Channels, if you want reservations made via Google to be reflected on Oddle Reserve as well. Do note only one ticket type at a time can be selected to be used for Reserve with Google and that it cannot be a ticket that requires payment.

  5. On the right-hand side, you can see the preview of how the ticket would look like. This is what the customer sees when they are making a reservation

  6. Click on Add Ticket and a confirmation message will pop up at the bottom. A successful message will be displayed if the ticket has been created.

📌 Enabling/Disabling Reserve with Google will take effect in the next day after you toggle on/off the Google Channel from the Ticket Menu.

3c. How to View Reservations from Google

When Reserve with Google is enabled, diners can now reserve a table when they find your outlet on Google Search, Google Maps, or Google Assistant. When a booking is made through Google, the reservation details will be sent from Google to the Oddle Host App just like your reservations from the Customer Booking App. To go to the Reservation List, please follow these steps:

  1. In the Oddle Reserve Host V3 app, navigate to the Home Page.

  2. Use any view you desire

  3. Find reservations with Google Icon. These are reservations made through Reserve with Google.


3d. How to Cancel The Reservation from Google

There may be a situation when a diner calls and wants to cancel a reservation or the table is no longer available. In this case, you can cancel the reservation coming to your Oddle Host System just like a Regular Reservation. To cancel the Reservation please follow these steps.


3e. How to Modify The Reservation from Google

To edit the reservation that is coming from Google, please follow these steps. In this case, you can edit the reservation coming to your Oddle Host System just like a Regular Reservation but with some limitations.

📌 Editing Reservation from Google can only happen for Pax, Table, Occasion Tag, Special Request, Reservation Note, Diner Details. 

3f. Frequently Asked Questions about Reserve with Google (FAQ)

I enabled Reserve with Google from Host App Ticket Menu, but My Restaurant is not having a reservation button yet on Google.
Enabling/Disabling Reserve with Google will take effect the next day. If it doesn't show up after 24 hours, please contact Oddle Customer Service or Representative.

  • Can I use prepayment and deposit Tickets for reservations with Google
    Reserve with Google can only be enabled for non-payment Schedule Ticket.

  • What is the maximum number of Guests for reservations on Google?
    Each reservation can have a maximum of 20 guests.

  • Why can't customers see all my schedules on Google?
    Google only looks at the available slots for the upcoming 90 days. If you have some slots that are for more than 90 days from the current date, it won't be shown by Google to your customer.

  • Does Google show my Table Area to the customers?
    Yes, we sync the table area to Google so that customers can pick the area they want.

  • Can the Customer leave a Special Request Note?
    Yes, they can and it will also be shown in your Host App.

  • I changed some settings on my Host App (such as Schedule Settings, etc.). How long will it take for Google Reserve to update the changes?
    The changes on the Host App will be reflected on Google Reserve after 24-48 hours


4. Enabling and Disabling the integrations

It is easy to enable or disable any of the Google integrations on our Merchant Admin platform.

  1. On the left navigation panel, click on "Google" under Channels.

  2. Next, initiate our support messenger by clicking on "Need Help".

  3. Select your desired action and you will be further prompted on the specific integration to be acted on.

  4. After submitting the request, our support team will help to disable/enable the integrations.

    1. Please note that it may take up to 48 hours for these changes to reflect on your Google Listing.

    2. If there are any issues, our support team will reach out to you via the same support messenger. Similarly, if you have any questions about the integration, you can reach out to our support team via the support messenger.
