Oddle charges three main types of fees:
3. Delivery Fee
As Oddle is a GST-registered company, all fees are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST).
1. Usage Fee
Oddle charges a 10% usage or commission fee on each online order placed through your Oddle Shop. This fee applies only to the order basket value (subtotal), excluding delivery fees, taxes, and any other charges.
Here are some examples to illustrate:
i. Order with GST Included
| Amounts |
(A) Order Basket Value (incl. GST) | 100.00 |
(B) Customer Delivery Fee (incl. GST) | 8.00 |
Total Amount Paid by Customer | 108.00 |
Less GST from (A) | -8.26 |
Less (B) | -8.00 |
Effective Billable Amount | 91.74 |
Usage Fees (10%) | $9.17 |
To calculate the usage fee,
First, determine the 'Effective Billable Amount'.
This is done by removing the GST from the Order Basket Value of $100.
Assuming a 9% GST rate, the calculation is: $100 / 1.09 = $91.74.
Next, apply the 10% usage rate to this Effective Billable Amount: 10% × $91.74 = $9.17.
ii. Order for non-GST registered merchants
| Amounts |
(A) Order Basket Value | 100.00 |
(B) Customer Delivery Fee | 8.00 |
Total Amount Paid by Customer | 108.00 |
Less (B) | -8.00 |
Effective Billable Amount (A) | 100.00 |
Usage Fees (10%) | $10.00 |
In this case, the order basket value ($100) is the Effective Billable Amount. The usage fee is calculated directly: 10% × $100 = $10.
If an order is fully refunded, there is no usage fee for that order.
If an order is partially refunded, the usage fee will be recalculated based on the remaining (non-refunded) order amount.
Usage fees are not charged for offline orders (e.g., orders created manually via the Oddle Dashboard or Oddle Register App).
2. Payment Processing Fee
The payment processing fee covers the total transaction value.
Fee Type | Description | Effective as of 24th Apr 2025 |
Payment Processing Fee | Secure transaction handling | 2.8% + $0.30 |
Refund Processing Fee | Fee associated with processing refunds | Initial payment processing fees are non-refundable, even if the order is refunded. |
Here are some examples to illustrate:
i. Order with GST Included
| Amounts |
(A) Order Basket Value | 100.00 |
(B) Customer Delivery Fee | 8.00 |
(C) GST (already incl. in (A) and (B)) | 8.92 |
Total Amount Paid by Customer | 108.00 |
Less (A) | -100.00 |
Add (C) | 8.92 |
Total Amount for Non-Basket Items (B + C) | 16.92 |
Payment Processing Fees (2.8% + $0.30) | $0.77 |
To calculate the payment processing fee for Non-Basket Items,
First, determine the total amount for Non-Basket Items.
Add together the Customer Delivery Fee and GST.
Assuming a 9% GST rate, the calculation for the GST is: 9% × [(100 + 8)/1.09] = $8.92.
Then, apply the payment processing rate of 2.8% + $0.30 to the Non-Basket Items total: (2.8% × $16.92) + $0.30 = $0.77.
ii. Order for non-GST registered merchants
| Amounts |
(A) Order Basket Value | 100.00 |
(B) Customer Delivery Fee | 8.00 |
Total Amount Paid by Customer | 108.00 |
Less (A) | -100.00 |
Total Amount for Non-Basket Items (B) | 8.00 |
Payment Processing Fees (2.8% + $0.30) | $0.52 |
To calculate the payment processing fee for Non-Basket Items,
First, determine the total amount for Non-Basket Item.
As GST is not applied, this component only includes the Customer Delivery Fee.
Then, apply the payment processing rate of 2.8% + $0.30 to the Non-Basket Item total: (2.8% × $8.00) + $0.30 = $0.52.
iii. In the event of a full refund
The payment processing fees will be charged on the full order amount.
| Amounts |
(A) Order Basket Value | 100.00 |
(B) Customer Delivery Fee | 8.00 |
GST (already incl. in (A) and (B)) | 8.92 |
Total Amount Paid by Customer | 108.00 |
Payment Processing Fees (2.8% + $0.30) | $3.32 |
For orders without GST, the payment processing fees will also be charged on the full order amount.
iv. In the event of a partial refund
The payment processing fees for Non-Basket Items (i.e., Customer Delivery Fee and GST) will not be refunded.
| Amounts |
(A) Order Basket Value | 100.00 |
(B) Customer Delivery Fee | 8.00 |
(C) GST (already incl. in (A) and (B)) | 8.92 |
Total Amount Paid by Customer | 108.00 |
Less (A) | -100.00 |
Add (C) | 8.92 |
Total Amount for Non-Basket Items (B + C) | 16.92 |
Payment Processing Fees (2.8% + $0.30) | $0.77 |
