The Oddle Managed Logistics Settings page allows restaurant owners and managers to manage how they want their orders to be fulfilled via Oddle Managed Logistics Network.
In this article:
A. Accessing Oddle Managed Logistics Settings
In the Merchant Admin, Navigate to Manage -> Stores
Click on the store you want to change the settings
Navigate to Oddle Managed Logistics Settings
You will be able to see the different sections to manage your logistics preferences
B. Updating Contact Details
You can update your details for delivery drivers by clicking on the edit button.
Contact Name and Phone Number will help drivers contact the person in charge for delivery matters.
If you have additional instructions for drivers that are picking up your orders, you may add the details under Instruction for Drivers so that they can locate your restaurant easily and collect orders on time.
C. Updating Fulfilment Preferences
Driver Request Preference
Oddle streamlines your operations by automatically requesting a delivery driver for every new order submitted by a customer or staff by default. Restaurants that would like to use their own delivery fleet depending on the different types of orders may set their preferences under Driver Request Preference. The configuration can be customized via the following section on
Automatically request for a delivery driver
All: Delivery requests will be sent for all orders
Online: Delivery requests will be sent for online orders only
Manual: Delivery requests will be sent for manual orders only
Never: Delivery requests will not be made automatically.
Self arrange delivery driver for larger basket value
If this is enabled, delivery requests will not be sent for orders above the indicated basket amount.
Service Type Preference
Oddle will request different service types based on distance, order size & availability of drivers. The following is how the orders are assigned to
BIKE | For distances 22 km and below or basket sizes up to SGD 70.00 |
CAR | For basket sizes up to SGD 400.00 |
VAN | For basket sizes exceeding SGD 400.00 |
You can contact the Oddle team if you would like to review your preferences.
D. Improving Driver-Matching Rate and Managing Costs
Allow Oddle to manage store available time slots during peak period
In order to ensure that there is a high matching rate for orders during high-demand periods, Oddle may block new orders from being submitted to ensure that unassigned orders are being prioritized during the peak period. You may opt out of this to continue receiving orders but you would need to tap on your own delivery fleet to fulfill newly submitted orders.
Pass on surcharge to customers
In order to cope with the increased demand for drivers during peak periods, our partners impose surcharges on restaurants and other merchants so that more drivers will be available to fulfill orders on time. You can pass on these surcharges to your customers when they make their orders in order to manage your delivery costs. If you would like to keep your delivery costs low to attract more orders, you can also absorb the delivery surcharges by turning off this setting.
