How do I change my reservation status automation?

Change the way reservation statuses are updated at the end of the day

Updated over a week ago

During day-to-day operations, Oddle advises restaurant staff to update reservation statuses manually. However, to streamline and alleviate operational burdens, we have introduced automation options for reservation statuses.

In this article, we'll explore the available automation choices, their applications, and the steps to switch between them.

Completed Driven Automation

What is it?

Throughout the day

  1. Oddle Reserve will not change the statuses of reservations. The reservation status will remain the same throughout the day unless changed by your staff or guest.

At the end of the day - 03:00 am of the next day.

  1. Oddle Reserve will automatically mark all reservations that are

    1. Booked

    2. Confirmed

    3. Seated

    4. Overstayed

    5. Bill Requested

      TO

    6. Completed

  2. Oddle Reserve will automatically mark all reservations that are

    1. Late

      TO

    2. No Show

📔 The diagram above only shows the automation changes in a reservation's status. We have not included all the changes to reservation statuses that you can make manually.

Who should use this automation?

  • Ideal for operations that need you to identify guests who have not arrived for their reservation booking

  • Suitable if you want to mark reservations as Completed daily, regardless if you use or do not use the Host app to change your reservation status

What to do with this automation?

  • Only update the status for guests who are late or don't show up. Mark these guests as Late or No Show.

  • The system will take care of the rest, automatically marking reservations as 'Completed' by the end of the day, unless they are marked as Late or No Show.
