How to Add an Option Group
Step 1: Start by accessing the Oddle Dashboard. From the top-left corner, select the brand name relevant to your menu.
Step 2: Under Manage, go to Menus. Click on the desired menu name to begin managing your menu.
Step 3: Adding an option group can be done in two ways:
Method 1 - Adding a New Option Group from Item Settings:
Begin by clicking on the specific item's name to access its settings.
βIn the Option Groups section, click on + Add Option Group.
βIf you already have an existing option group that you'd like to attach to this item, simply select it and click Select Option Groups to link it to this item.
β
You can add multiple option groups to an item, but it's advisable to keep them to a minimum for a smoother ordering experience.
βIf you don't have any existing option groups to select from, click on + Add Option Group to create one.
βSpecify the name of the option group (e.g., "Select your sides to complete the meal").
βYou can choose to keep this option group optional and set a cap on the maximum number of options a customer can add, or you can make it mandatory by deselecting the optional function and specifying the minimum and maximum selections.
βClick + Add Option Item to list all the possible options that customers can choose to add to the original item (e.g., "2 sides of fries and coleslaw").
You can select option items from your existing a la carte menu by choosing the entire category or a specific item, then click on Save Changes.
βAlternatively, you can create a new option item (not available in your a la carte menu) under Quick Add Item, and then click on Save Changes. Note that the newly created option item will be placed under Other Items in your category list as an uncategorised item unless you move it to a specific category later.
β
After clicking on Save Changes, you can decide whether to copy the default price of the a la carte item for the option item or set a new price.
βFinally, click Add Option Group to save your settings.
βSelect the option group you've just created (as well as any other relevant option groups), and then click Select Option Groups.
βDon't forget to click on Save Changes to confirm your selections.
