Notifications keep everyone informed! With Oddle Reserve, you can control what type of notifications you and your customers will receive. These notifications will ensure you and your customers never miss a beat at your restaurant.

How to set up notifications for your customers?

Your customers want to receive smses, automated calls and emails when reservations are placed in real-time.

  1. In the Oddle Reserve Host V3 app, navigate to Settings > Notifications

  2. Under the Customer Notifications section, you can set up notifications for online and manual reservations. Customers are only notified of their own reservations. Notifications include reservation confirmation, modification, cancellation and reminders. There are 3 notification methods (SMS, Automated Call, Email)

  3. Decide which method you want by toggling the button ON. A successful message will be displayed if the notification has been updated successfully

⭐ SMS and automated call charges may apply depending on the market you are in, to find out more reach out to your account manager.


How to set up your notifications?

With Oddle Reserve, you receive email notifications for all reservations and card guarantee summaries.

  1. In the Oddle Reserve Host V3 app, navigate to Settings > Notifications

  2. Under the Your Notifications section, you can set up notifications. Toggle the button to receive email notifications when a customer makes a reservation, modification or cancellation or summary of card guarantee

  3. This email is sent to the store’s default email address. If you want to add additional notification recipients, like the floor manager’s email address, click on Manage. Add the relevant email address and click Save Changes. A successful message will be displayed if the notification has been updated successfully

  4. To delete any notification recipients, click on Manage and cross out the intended email address


How to set up real-time push notifications?

We recognise the hectic pace of the restaurant industry, where staying up-to-date with reservation bookings and vital updates can be a challenge. Oddle Reserve Host V3 offers real-time push notifications to ensure you never miss any important reservation updates. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to set up push notifications on different devices.

🤓 Open the Host App and head to the “Notifications” tab on the bottom left. Your notification inbox will pop up!

📚 Follow the steps below to enable push notifications. If you are using the iPad, this feature only works for iOS16.5 and above

🤔 When do you receive notifications?

  • Reservations: Receive notifications for booked, confirmed, modified, or canceled reservations

  • Daily Brief: Get a daily summary of reservations for the day, sent at 8:00 am.

📟 For iPad

📌 Push notifications only work for iOS version 16.5 and above. Please do upgrade the iPad iOS version if need be. If your iOS version is 17.0 and greater, skip steps 4 - 8.

Applicable for Safari and Chrome browser

  1. Log into the Oddle Reserve Host V3 App. Click on the icon at the top right of the browser

  2. Select “Add to Home Screen”

  3. Click on “Add”. Host App will be added to the home screen on your iPad

  4. Head to your iPad device “Settings”. Skip steps 4-8 if your iOS version is 17.0 and greater

  5. Search for “Safari” on the left sidebar. Do this set even if you use Chrome on the iPad. Skip steps 4-8 if your iOS version is 17.0 and greater

  6. Click on “Advanced”. Skip steps 4-8 if your iOS version is 17.0 and greater

  7. Click on “Experimental Features”. Skip steps 4-8 if your iOS version is 17.0 and greater

  8. Scroll all the way to “Push API” & toggle it ON. Disclaimer: Push API is only available on Safari 16.5. Skip steps 4-8 if your iOS version is 17.0 and greater

  9. Head to your Home page. Click on the Oddle Host app

  10. Click on “Settings” at the bottom left-hand corner

  11. Click on “Notifications” & then toggle Push Notifications ON

  12. Click Next, then you MUST click “Allow” to receive notifications on this device

  13. Test notification will be incoming in a few seconds. Notifications have been enabled

📟 For Android Tablet

  1. Log into the Oddle Reserve Host V3 App. Click on the icon at the top right of the browser

  2. Select "Add to Home screen"

  3. Click on "Add". Host App will be added to the home screen

  4. Head to your Home page. Click on the Oddle Host app

  5. Click on “Settings” at the bottom left-hand corner

  6. Click on “Notifications” & then toggle Push Notifications ON

  7. Click Next, then you MUST click “Allow” to receive notifications on this device

  8. Test notification will be incoming in a few seconds. Notifications have been enabled

📲 For the iPhone and Android phone

Safari

  1. Log into the Oddle Reserve Host app V3

  2. Click on the share icon, scroll down and select "Add to Home Screen"

  3. Click on "Add"

  4. The host app will appear on your home screen and click on it

  5. Head to Settings and then Notifications

  6. Toggle "Push Notifications" ON

  7. Click Next, then you MUST click “Allow” to receive notifications on this device

  8. Test notification will be incoming in a few seconds. Notifications have been enabled.

Chrome

  1. Log into the Oddle Reserve Host app V3

  2. Click on the share icon, scroll down and select "Add to Home Screen"

  3. Click on "Add"

  4. Host app will appear on your home screen

  6. Head to Settings and then Notifications

  7. Toggle "Push Notifications" ON

  8. Click Next, then you MUST click “Allow” to receive notifications on this device

  9. Test notification will be incoming in a few seconds. Notifications have been enabled.

  1. Log into the Oddle Reserve Host V3 App. Click on “Settings” at the bottom left-hand corner

  2. Click on “Notifications” & then head to Your Notification >> Receive Push Notification section

  3. Toggle Push Notifications ON and then click Next, then you MUST click “Allow” to receive notifications on this device

  4. Test notification will be incoming in a few seconds. Notifications have been enabled
