How to customise order number formatting for delivery and pickup orders

Customising your order numbers can help streamline your order management and branding.

Updated over a week ago

Are you looking to personalise your order number format for delivery and pickup orders? This guide will walk you through the process step by step. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Access the Merchant Admin Dashboard

Begin by logging into your account and accessing the Merchant Admin Dashboard. This is where you'll make the necessary adjustments to your order number format.

Step 2: Select Your Brand

On the home page of the dashboard, you will find a drop-down menu for brands (if you have more than one brand) located in the top-left corner. Click into this menu and select the relevant brand which you want to customise the order number formatting for.

Step 3: Navigate to Menus

Now, head over to the 'Manage' section in the navigation menu. Click on 'Menus' to access the menu settings where you can modify the order number format.

Step 4: Choose the Menu

Inside the 'Menus' section, locate and click on the specific Menu Name that corresponds to the orders you want to customise.

Step 5: Access Additional Settings

Within the Menu settings, look for the 'Additional Settings' option. Click on it to proceed to the next step.

Step 6: Customise Your Order Number Format

In the 'Additional Settings' section, you'll find a dedicated section for customising your order number. Here, you can define a prefix that will always appear before the order number and a suffix that will be appended after the order number. This allows you to create a unique format that suits your needs.

Step 7: Save Your Changes

Once you've configured your desired order number format, don't forget to save your changes. Look for a 'Save' button, typically located at the bottom of the customisation section.

Please note that the new order number format will only be applied to future orders submitted after this change. Orders placed prior to this customisation will retain their original order number formats.

By following these simple steps, you can easily tailor your order numbering system to align with your business preferences and branding. This customisation can help you manage your orders better.
