How to set up promotions for delivery and pickup orders

Promotion is a valuable marketing activity that attracts potential customers to order from your online ordering platform.

All these changes can be made on the new Merchant Dashboard

1. On the dashboard, select the menu you wish to create/edit a Promotion for.

2. Go to Menus and click on the Menu Name

3. Click Promotions

Follow the steps below to set a promotion on your online ordering platform

1. Click Add Promotion

2. Select your preferred promotion type.


A. Total Order Promotion

$ or % discount for the subtotal value of an entire order


B. Apply to All Selected Item Promotion

$ or % discount for only the item/category included in promo


C. Discount on Next Item Promotion

$ or % discount for the additional item selected at checkout

D. Free Item Promotion

A complimentary item with any purchase


E. Delivery Charge Override Promotion

$ or % discount on the delivery fee applied


F. Minimum Order Override Promotion

Change the minimum order amount


Frequently asked questions

1. How to create a promo code, or multiple promo codes for 1 promotion?

  • Click on Apply Promo Code

  • Enter your promo code (to add multiple promo codes, separate them with a comma only)

  • Ensure that you do not add any spacing (if you do, the spacing is part of the promo code)


2. Can I set a promotion for first-time or repeated customers only, or both?

Yes. You may select your target customers at the dropdown menu below.


3. Can I create a promotion without any promo code?

Yes. On your promotion settings, do not tick 'Apply Promo Code'. That way, customers can simply select the promotion upon checkout without keying in any unique code.


4. Can I create a promotion but not make it available on my Oddle Shop yet?

Yes. On the 2nd page of your promotion settings, you may select Not Available on the dropdown menu at the top.


5. Can I customise the availability period of my promotion?

Yes. There are several ways that you can customise the availability period:

  • by Order Date (date when customer submits the order)

  • by Fulfilment Date (date when customer expects to pickup/receive order on delivery)

  • by Fulfilment Time (time when customer expects to pickup/receive order on delivery)

  • by Fulfilment Day (day when customer expects to pickup/receive order on delivery)


6. How can I display the promotion on my Menu Page in the Oddle Shop?

On the 2nd page of your promotion settings, tick Show on shopping cart.

Next, go to the Customise Page and add the section "Promotion Filmstrip". Then, click "Publish". For more information on the Promotion Filmstrip, click here.


7. Can I create a promotion for Pickup or Delivery Orders only, or both

Yes. You may select the order type at the dropdown menu below.


8. What are stackable and unstackable promotions?

If a promotion is Stackable, it means that your customer is able to redeem this promotion in conjunction with another Stackable promo, in a single order.

If a promotion is Unstackable, it means that your customer is only able to redeem this or another Unstackable promo on its own, in a single order.
