Learn to add, edit, remove and manage employees' access to the Merchant Dashboard

Manage your employee permissions via our new and improved Employee Management page in the Merchant Dashboard.

Accessing Employee Management Page

You will be able to access the Employee Management Page if the Employees Permissions "View Page" toggle is enabled.

The toggle is enabled by default for Superadmin and Admin roles. However, you can overwrite the default settings when setting up a new employee/editing an existing employee.

  1. Log into the Oddle Merchant Dashboard here

  2. Click on "Account" on the left navigation bar to go into account settings

  3. Once you click on "Employees" under the account settings, you will see a list of your employees (if any).

Adding a New Employee

Note: Only employees who have permission to "Add Employees" can add new employees

  1. Click on "Create Employee" in the Employees page

  2. Select the customer's role and fill up the employee's account details

  3. Select the stores which the employee should have access to

  4. Toggle on the relevant notification preferences for your employees

    1. Note: SMS notification is yet to be available for merchants

    • Enable Pending Notifications to receive an email for a newly submitted order

    • Enable Confirmed Notifications to receive an email for a confirmed order

    • Enable Cancelled Notifications to receive an email for a cancelled order

    • Enable Delivered Notifications to receive an email for a fulfilled order

    • Enable Delivery Request Notifications to receive an email for updates on driver status

      • For Delivery Request Notifications, it is only applicable for merchants
        integrated with our third-party logistics partners.

  5. Lastly, set the permissions to control the areas of the dashboard which the employees will have access to

    1. We have toggled on some relevant permissions relating to the role chosen but you can overwrite the default permissions

The newly added employee can now access the Merchant Dashboard with their email and password.


Edit Existing Employees

To edit the contact details, store access, notification preferences or permissions of an employee, simply click on their name in the employees page

Note: You are only able to edit the permissions of an employee

  • With the same or lower role than you

  • In the stores that you are already assigned to

The hierarchy of roles from highest to lowest: Super Admin, Admin, Store Manager, All Staffs, Guest

How do I reset the employee login password?

Click on the three dots on the right side of the user and click "Reset Password"


Delete Existing Employees

To delete an click on the three dots on the right side of the user and click "Delete"


Employee Roles

There are 8 roles available for you to choose for each employee. Selecting a role will load the default list of permissions for that role, which you can then edit and customize based on your own needs.

Typical Persona

Super Admin

As a Superadmin, you will have unlimited access to the dashboard and have the ability to grant access rights to other members

Restaurant owner

Admin

As an Admin, you will have dashboard-wide access to all features but will not be able to manage Superadmin roles

General manager

Store Manager

As a Store Manager, you will have full dashboard access for a particular store. You will not be able to access other stores unless you are a Store Admin for other stores too.

Brand manager, Franchise owner, Operations manager

Store Staff

As a Store Staff, you will have access to some features in a particular store

Host, Cashier

Marketing Staff

As a Marketing Staff, you will have access to marketing-related features including analytics, promotions, online shop settings, and shop editor

Marketing managers, Interns, Marketing executives

Finance Staff

As a Finance Staff, you will have access to finance-related features including sales page, online orders, sales analytics

Finance manager, HQ finance, Franchisees

Operations Staff

As an Operations Staff, you will have access to the online orders for every store you have access to

Logistics IC, Operations staff

Guest

If you have hired an external web designer and developer, you may use this role to grant them access to the online shop settings and shop editor while restricting access outside of these pages
