Customer profiles

Use customer profiles for a complete 360° view of your customers.

Updated over a week ago

As part of our vision to help restaurants unlock growth from first-party customer data, our platform tracks all of your customers' activities across all sales channels and combines this information into unified 360° customer profiles.

This means you can view your customers' transactions across online and offline channels, giving you a complete, omni-channel understanding of their purchasing habits. By providing a unified view of your customers, we aim to help you unlock growth and make more informed business decisions.

1. How does it work?

Navigate to Customers to access a customer profile. You can view simple details such as phone or email, as well as view a customer’s sales records across multiple sales channels including Online ordering, Reservations, and Payment Terminals.

Associated online order and reservation sales records are based on the email or phone used for the transaction.

For terminal transactions, we use the unique identifier called a "fingerprint" to associate the transaction with the customer. For example, if a customer has previously used their credit card for an online transaction and then uses the same card to make a payment in-store with you, we will recognize the card's fingerprint and link the in-store transaction to the same customer account.

Note:

When a credit or debit card is processed through Oddle's payment system, a unique identifier called a fingerprint is generated for that card. This fingerprint is created by combining various pieces of information about the card, such as the card number, expiration date, and security code. The fingerprint helps to identify the card and prevent fraudulent activity, similar to how a person's fingerprint is used to identify them and protect against identity theft. It's important to note that Oddle does not store or have access to any of your customer's actual credit card details on our servers.

2. What else can I do with customer profiles

In the page, you'll also be able to edit, or delete a customer or send a reset password email to the customer. We plan to add more features in the future, so stay tuned for updates!
