There may be rare instances where customers are unable to place orders on your Oddle shopping cart because they do not have access to a smartphone or computer. As a result, your customers resort to calling or email to place their order. In such cases, you would need to manually key in the customer's order into Oddle via the Oddle iPad app. The steps to do so are easy and can be found here.
1. Once the order has been placed, how can you get your customer to pay online via PayPal? Before you can do that, you would need to follow the steps below to complete the PayPal setup. Alternatively, you can also view the video below.
a. Go to Menu > Payment on the merchant's web dashboard.
b. Click on Link PayPal button.
c. You will be brought to the PayPal page where you will be prompted to login with your PayPal credentials.
d. After logging in to PayPal, click Grant Permission and that is it! You will be subsequently redirected to your Oddle Dashboard.
2. Now that you have linked your PayPal/Stripe account to your Oddle account, your Oddle account will be able to issue Payment Requests from your Oddle iPad app or from your Oddle Dashboard.
a. Issuing Payment Requests (works only if you have an online payment gateway activated and set up) from your Oddle iPad app by tapping on the "Payment Invoice" icon on the top right hand corner.
b. Issuing PayPal Invoices from your Oddle Dashboard
3. Finally, how would you know that your customer has completed Online Payment? There are a few ways to check this:
a. From your Oddle iPad app or your Oddle Dashboard, you will be able to see a Payment Reference ID on the Order Details. In the order logs, you will be able to see remarks indicating that "Customer has made payment...".
b. From your PayPal or Stripe Dashboard, you will be able to see an incoming payment from your Customer. Alternatively, you can check the email registered to your PayPal/Stripe account for the email notification from PayPal/Stripe.
